Hi, I'm Tiya
I believe a beautiful home is about so much more than how it looks.
It's about how it makes you feel when you walk through the door. It's about creating a space that supports your lifestyle, reflects who you are, and feels welcoming and uniquely yours.
My journey into interior design began growing up in a home with beautiful architecture and incredible potential, yet the interiors never quite reflected it. The spaces felt disconnected and unfinished, lacking the sense of harmony the home deserved. I often wondered how different it would feel if the interiors worked in harmony with the architecture and reflected the home's full potential.
That curiosity sparked a lifelong fascination with the relationship between architecture, interiors and wellbeing, eventually leading me to study Interior Design at the Florence Design Academy in Florence Italy, where I developed a deep appreciation for colour, materials, spatial flow and the details that transform a house into a home.
Alongside my design education, I hold an MSc in International Business Management from IE Business School in Madrid and a BSc in Business Management from King's College London, giving me a strategic approach to both design and implementation.
Today, I help people create homes that feel elevated yet comfortable, refined yet personal, and beautiful without feeling over stimulating.
I created Empowered to Design because I saw so many people struggling with the same questions:
"Where do I start?"
"How do I know if I'm making the right decision?"
"Why doesn't my room look like the inspiration images I've saved?"
The truth is, creating a remarkable home isn't about having a natural talent for design. It's about having a clear process.
